1. Acceptance

By using Snap Split your Bill ("the App"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

2. What the App Does

Snap Split your Bill helps groups split restaurant bills by scanning receipts, allowing item selection, and calculating each person's share including tax and tip. The App does NOT process payments.

3. No Payment Processing

The App calculates how much each person owes but does not handle any money transfers. Users are responsible for settling payments among themselves through their preferred method.

4. Accuracy

Receipt scanning uses AI which may occasionally make errors. Users should verify the scanned data before confirming. The "edited/unedited" badge shows whether the receipt data has been modified.

5. User Accounts

Account creation is optional. You can use the App anonymously with a device identifier. If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your credentials secure.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Abuse the AI scanning system (e.g., scanning non-receipt images to waste API resources)
• Manipulate bill data to defraud other group members
• Attempt to access other users' data
• Reverse engineer the App or its AI systems

7. Premium Subscription

Premium features are available via in-app purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. Refunds follow Apple App Store / Google Play Store policies.

8. Advertising

The free version includes advertisements via Google AdMob. Premium subscribers see no ads.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, code, and brand ("Snap Split your Bill") are our property. Your receipt data and ratings belong to you.

10. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is." We are not responsible for:

• Incorrect bill splits due to AI scanning errors
• Disputes between group members about payments
• Loss of data (though we make reasonable efforts to prevent this)

11. Termination

We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. You can delete your account at any time from Settings.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
